School Council November 2012

School Council Meeting
Nov 9, 2011

Attendance

: Sue Case, Natalie Hart, Jen Hanna, Nicki Gallagher, Karrie Hill, Julie Stiles

Approval of minutes

for last meeting: Motion by Natalie Hart , 2nd by Julie Stiles

Playground Committee Report
The committee agreed upon 3 fundraisers: 1) Skate-A-Thon,
2) Yearbook, 3) Pizza Kits or Meat Sticks (Sean will find out more details about this possibility)
Karrie has tentatively asked her bus company about donating a bus and Karrie will donate her time. The bus company very willingly agreed to this. Skate-A-Thon would run Feb/Mar. tentatively from 12:15 - 1:15 so the busses used would not interfere with the high school runs. We tentatively decided on 3 large items for prizes - We will ask Walmart to donate these or provide them to us at cost. All requests need to do through Delores Hachey.
Yearbook would sell business size ads. Sherry McLellan, Karrie Hill, and Rhonda Pickstock are willing to work at that project
Jen Hanna made a suggestion for another year - cookbook- recipes from school families- last one sold in the school was 8 years ago.
The fundraising form has not yet been completed but Karrie Hill and Sherry McLellan have agreed to complete this.
